Sublingual simply means "under the tongue". It is a delivery route, not a claim.
The idea
The tissue under the tongue is thin and well supplied with blood vessels. Some substances placed there can pass into the bloodstream directly. This route is well established for certain pharmaceutical compounds.
What we can and cannot say
That the route exists and is used pharmaceutically is uncontroversial. Whether any given supplement is absorbed better sublingually than by another route is a product-specific question requiring product-specific evidence.
You will notice we do not describe our spray as fast-absorbing or highly bioavailable. Those are comparative absorption claims, they are not authorised health claims, and we do not have product-specific data to support them. So we do not make them.
Why we chose a spray anyway
Practical reasons, honestly stated: a metered spray gives the same amount every time, needs no water, travels well, and is easy to keep up with daily. Consistency of routine is a real benefit of format. It is just not a physiological claim.
Using it properly
Shake before use, spray under the tongue, and wait a minute or two before swallowing. Full directions are on the pack.
